Most students don’t have a big budget for their stay. If that’s the case, staying with a host family or taking a room in a shared apartment are the most economical options. Low-cost hostels are often perfect for groups and school classes. There are a lot of apartments in Berlin that you can rent for short periods and if you’re looking for something for a longer term or something very luxurious there are plenty of options.

Host family.

The cost of staying with a host family in Berlin starts at about €250 per month. There’s the option to add breakfast or take half-board accommodation and airport transfers or collection from the train station can also be arranged. A once-off agency fee of €50 is payable.

Hostel.

Accommodation in a dorm in a low-cost hostel is available from €10.50 per night.

Shared apartment..

A room in a shared apartment starts at about €300 per month. A once-off agency fee of €50 is payable.

Apartment.

One bedroom apartments can be found from about €500 per month. A once-off agency fee of €50 is payable.
