Our Terms and Conditions.
Liability
Die Deutschule is not liable if classes do not take place due to an Act of God. Students participate at their own risk. For any damage caused by the participant, the participant is directly and immediately liable to the aggrieved party.
Validity
The registration for a language course is valid when you receive a written confirmation from Die Deutschule. The registration is valid for a maximum of twelve months. After this term expires, any fees paid are forfeited, and your right of recourse expires.
Course Places
A place on a particular course is considered reserved where the participant has, at latest 7 days prior to the beginning of the course, confirmed his / her participation and paid for the course. If a course participant is going to arrive later than planned, he / she must inform Die Deutschule a minimum of 7 days before the start of the course. If there are not enough participants on a course, the course may be postponed by up to 4 weeks.
Cancellation
A refund of course fees may be possible where a cancellation is made no later than one week prior to the beginning of the course. The receipt and all original letters of confirmation received from Die Deutschule must be sent back. Students with visa requirements should also, where appropriate, provide us with the letter of refusal received from the German Embassy.
The registration fee is forfeited and an administration fee of 50 euro is applied. In the case of non-attendance or where a student leaves a course once it is underway, the paid fees are forfeited. Where a participant on a course is absent due to illness, accident or holiday, he or she will have no right to a reduction in fees. No fees will be refunded. Exceptions may be made in individual cases.
Cancellation of Classes
In the case of cancellation or postponement of courses due to technical reasons, all paid fees will be fully refunded. No claim for compensation will be admitted. Where a teacher falls ill, a replacement teacher will be provided, at latest, on the second day of his / her absence.
Holiday Regulations
No classes will be held on Berlin public holidays or at weekends.
